This special event was designed for youth ages 9-13. We ended our weekend with a wonderful slideshow depicting our terrific weekend together. She'll be taking the lead on our Outdoor Education Programs, leading the staff through Summer Camp, and balancing out our specialty programs. Whoo-hoo!!!<br /><br />Exciting highlights were: the beginning stages of our Teen Advisory Board (TAB) - this provides the Teens wtih a voice, a purpose, and power!; Character Counts! training and decorations; service projects; and lots of time to socialize!!!<br /><br />We're proud of our teens and we want to facilitate a program that serves them with opportunities to develop a higher self-esteem, leadership skills, and community pride & involvement. A great way to do this is through the Teen development of the Teen Advisory Board. Members will be expected to provide leadership to the Jamestown 4-H Center and Northeast District of Virginia in district, state, and Center led events. Opportunities to serve as a Teen Counselor are abundant! Just ask!!!<br /><br />Teen Weekend wouldn't be complete without the traditional Dance and Campfire w/ Smore's!!! Good music, good food, good company :)<br /><br />Thanks for an awesome weekend!!
